Hello, fantasy readers and friends. It’s PM Gilbert here. I’m an action-adventure fantasy author.
What do I write?
If this is the first time you’re coming across me, I write the Tuatha Legends series, which is about four youn heroes with an unwanted destiny to fulfill. The series is influenced by Celtic Mythology and Arthurian Legend and I’m just going to give you an update on what I’m currently working on.
This is the first video update I’ve done, so forgive me if it doesn’t go so smoothly.
What am I working on?
So, I’m working on book seven. I’m nearly at the end of the first draft for book seven. It’s about 5,000 words to go, maybe, and it’s set in Scotland. It’s an adventure for Arlene, who’s one of the four young heroes in the series.
I’m really excited about the book. There is a lot happening in it. There’s a lot going on for Arlene. She’s got a very interesting and troubled family history for me to play with as a writer, which is really good fun, and I’ve introduced a really interesting character into the book as well.
I’m not going to say any more about that, because it would kind of give the game away if I told you about it, but you can read about it when I do the launch.
When will it be finished?
So, I’ve got about 5,000 words to go, and that means probably the editing process will be quite long as well. I think the book will end up being published, probably in the second half of June. If it comes earlier, I will update you and let you know.
In the meantime...
You could check out book number six, which is called Dragon Rider. There it is, and that’s an adventure for George. Here he is on the cover, and this is the other major character in the book. He’s called the Blue, for obvious reasons.
This is a really good, fun adventure as well, and it features King Arthur, who’s George’s mentor. They’re on a quest for a magical, mystical weapon that’s been missing for hundreds of years. I really enjoyed writing this book, and people who’ve read it so far have really enjoyed it as well.
